Abby Park delivers creative local fresh dishes and well done comfort food in a comfortable yet upscale space. The restaurant opened in August after a total renovation and now offers an expansive bar, beautiful dining room and intimate private room on the lower level for small gatherings.

Family owned and operated Harvard Square Indian staple Bombay Club is closing its doors on Oct. 25 to relocate to the South End, taking up residence at the 1415 Washington Street space soon to be vacated by Pho Republique as early as mid-November.

Sure, Vinod Kapoor likes to eat. But it wasn’t food that drew him into the restaurant business. “I was fascinated with the idea of meeting new people every day,” Kapoor said.

With the help of his wife and recipe designer Shikha Kapoor, who has been in the restaurant business since 1972, Vinod hopes to set new standards and further popularize affordable Indian cuisine. “You know how we are, the trend-setters,” Kapoor said.

Harvard Square’s Bombay Club, which has been serving Indian food on JFK St. for 18 years, will move to the South End in early November due to declining sales and a financial dispute with a landlord who has tried to evict Bombay Club in the past.
